While many students join in the lower sixth, usually starting out with four AS subjects and carrying three of them on to A2, others enter the college for their final year of A- levels. The latter may be disenchanted with their current school or unhappy with their existing A-level choices. Extra tuition and catch-up classes are also available to fill in any gaps in their knowledge from the AS part of the syllabus.
