This college provides excellent teachers and teaching materials. The location of the college is very good in Central London with loads of shops nearby. During my time at Duff Miller teachers supported me all the time. I am now going to Manchester to study Dentistry. I joined Duff Miller Sixth Form College having completed the Middle Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate. It was a totally new system and at first I found it difficult to adjust, with the hard work and inspirational advice of teachers and advisors here complementing my hard work and dedication. I managed to achieve A*AA in my A levels. Duff Miller Sixth Form College in my time has presented s very professional, friendly and warm atmosphere. The teachers and staff here have always been very generous in supporting me regarding any queries, from exam preparation to the medical programme, to social and personal matters. The students are from very multicultural backgrounds which was fantastic for me having attended 10 schools in 4 countries. To conclude, I must say that Duff Miller has been like a second home to me, they have guided me in every way in maturing from a boy to a man, and have been a firm and memorable stepping stone into the next stages of my life.

After getting BCC in my previous college, I knew straight away I needed to retake. Duff Miller College stood out from all the other colleges and joining was one of the best decisions of my life. I always wanted to go to Germany to study Economics so I was motivated during the year to work hard, and thanks to Duff Miller now I have achieved my goals. I am now going to study Economics at Dresden University and joining the 1 year intensive course was clearly worthwhile. Thanks so much for a brilliant year, special thanks to Adele and Dave.

The standard of teaching was the best I’ve ever had and the support with UCAS was vital to gaining the offers I wanted. Exam preparation was extremely helpful. I came to Duff Miller Sixth Form College on the back of a huge disappointment at not getting into university last year. I decided to study the 1 year intensive course in Sociology. I also attended the Easter Revision course at Duff Miller Sixth Form College which proved useful. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and made many new friends as well as achieving the A grade I was aiming for. I am now going to Reading University to study History and Politics.

After the initial disappointment of not achieving the grades i needed, BBC, I looked at various colleges and believed that Duff Miller was the one that best suited me as an individual and also my subject criteria. I decided to re-sit all 3 of my subjects in one term, definitely not for the faint hearted. I found the college and their tutors to be supportive with well rounded lessons and the focus clearly on achieving grade improvements.
I re- sat my exams and achieved an A* in English Literature, A in Chemistry and an A in Biology and I am now off to St. Andrews to study Evolutionary Biology, something I could not have done without the help and the support of the Duff Miller team.

As I hadn't actually applied for University and I didn't have any idea about what I wanted to study, I thought it best to improve my grades so that when I did apply I had the best possible chance of getting into my desired course.
Coming to Duff Miller to do a year intensive A-Level retake course in two of my A-Levels was the best decision I could have made. The atmosphere was so friendly and everyone was happy to help. The easy going and first name relationship with teachers made it easy to ask for help when needed. The work itself was focussed on what was required in the exams so the best possible grades were achieved. I've really enjoyed this year. |

After being unsuccessful in getting the grades needed to fulfil my Medicine offer, I was given an opportunity to meet Chris Kraft along with some of the department teachers. This initial meeting helped me to regain the confidence in my own abilities and endeavour to reapply for Medicine. Before I came to Duff Miller A-Level College I had 2C’s and 2D’s at AS-level and knew drastic action was required in order to have a realistic chance of studying medicine at University. Having opted to follow the traditional two-year A-level course, I was delighted to obtain 3A’s at A-level in Chemistry, Biology and Physics; with an A at AS level Maths. This was only made possible by the excellent standard of teaching and on going support and encouragement from the dedicated staff. Regular exam practice obtained by the weekly E.P.P’s helped build up self-confidence as well as providing realistic feedback.
Looking back now I believe I made the right choice and attending Duff Miller has proved to be a sound investment.

When I came to Duff Miller Independent Sixth Form College I had five average GCSEs and little confidence in my academic capabilities. I cannot fault Duff Miller in terms of outstanding quality of teaching that I received, not to mention the level of support and care that can be gained from practically any member of staff.
After my two years with the college I left overjoyed at achieving three As at A-level, and having been accepted to study psychology at my first choice university, Nottingham. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Duff Miller and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little extra support and encouragement during these crucial and difficult few years of their education.' |

Last year I gained three middle B grades at A-level which wasn't enough to guarantee me a place at my desired university. One year on, after A-Level retakes I have three A's in Maths, Economics and History, and now have the opportunity to study Accountancy and Finance at Bristol University.
