The autumn term is a time of extreme pressure for medical students applying to university and medical schools and it is essential that they are given the support and grounding needed to succeed in their application.
The day has been developed in order to offer students the chance to prepare themselves thoroughly for a medical interview. Medical interviews take place once a university or medical school receives the UCAS form and shows interest in the applicant. They will then invite the student along to have an interview.
This can be a daunting process and many students find themselves unprepared for the questions they are presented with. Many of the interviews can be extremely in depth and specific, requiring the student to appear confident in such situations. Duff Miller realises that in many cases, this is the first formal interview most applicants will have attended. Therefore, we leave no stone unturned and do our best to make sure the student is as comfortable and prepared as possible.
The interview training day covers every topic required to make the applicant as knowledgeable and self-assured about the process as possible. This includes details of each medical school, an individual mock interview in front of a panel and individual feedback.
There will be a variety of tutors present offering support and advice in all areas. The members of staff on hand to advise have years of experience helping out hundreds of students going through the same process, with the majority achieving the outcome they desire.
The Medical Interview Practice Day will be held on Saturday 13th November 2010.
